Bethany Czarnecki Explores Light and Color at Massey Klein Gallery

Few artists have come even close to the artistic genius of Georgia O'Keeffe, rightfully recognized as the mother of American modernism. She had absolute control of the colors she used to create paintings, that even though they depicted simple objects like flowers, were bursting with female sensuality. But to the day she died, she denied this aspect of her paintings wholeheartedly. One might ask how limiting this negation was for her creative expression.
